Copenhagen Fashion Week Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Record Attendance
Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) concluded its spring 2027 season after four consecutive days of shows, marking the event’s 20th anniversary and attracting a record-breaking crowd.
CEO Highlights Industry Resilience
CEO Cecilie Thorsmark described the season as a “palette-cleanser,” emphasizing that CPHFW’s success relies on the brands and designers participating. She noted the industry’s challenges and praised the schedule as a testament to its resilience.

Notable Highlights
Several brands made triumphant returns, while new Nordic and international talent debuted. Buzz surrounded gifting suites, dinners, and side events alongside the main schedule. International guests were prominently featured, with brands like Almada Label (Finland), Sson (Sweden), Paolina Russo (London), and Iamisigo (Lagos) showcasing their collections.

Zalando Visionary Award Showcase
This year’s Zalando Visionary Award winner, Institution by Galib Gassanoff, presented a particularly strong show, utilizing Copenhagen’s Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK) as its venue, filling the atrium with carpets from Central Asia. The collection celebrated Georgian and Azerbaijani crafts, reflecting Gassanoff’s heritage.
International Guest Slot
CPHFW introduced an inaugural international guest slot, featuring New York-based Collina Strada, who presented a collection entirely of upcycled materials. Designer Hillary Taymour highlighted the challenges overcome in creating intricate pieces, emphasizing the show’s storytelling aspect and the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
