Your First Visit: What to Expect

Welcome to our practice

Congratulations on taking the first step toward better health! We understand visiting a new chiropractor can feel a bit daunting. This guide outlines our five-step process, designed to make your initial visit comfortable and informative. Feel free to refer to this information or our website at any stage of the process. We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Patient intake forms

To save time during your appointment, we encourage you to download, print, and complete our initial intake form. This form provides us with essential information about your medical history and current condition. Bringing the completed form allows us to focus more on your examination and treatment plan. You can find the form on our website, easily accessible for your convenience.

Step 1: initial consultation & examination

Our friendly receptionist will greet you and assist you with completing the necessary paperwork. The doctor will then conduct a thorough consultation, asking specific questions to understand your condition and determine if chiropractic care is appropriate. We believe in informed consent – nothing will be done without your explicit approval. Following the consultation, a comprehensive chiropractic examination will be performed, including assessments of your range of motion, reflexes, and postural alignment.

Step 2: diagnostic testing (if necessary)

Based on the initial examination, the doctor may recommend diagnostic testing, such as X-rays, to gain a more detailed understanding of your condition. These tests are only ordered when deemed necessary to accurately diagnose and develop an effective treatment plan. We work closely with qualified radiology providers and prioritize your safety and comfort throughout the process.

Step 3: report of findings & treatment discussion

After reviewing all the gathered information—forms, examination results, and any diagnostic tests—the doctor will present a clear report of findings. This report explains your condition, the proposed treatment plan, and the expected outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have. We emphasize patient education and shared decision-making.

Step 4: gentle & effective adjustments

Most patients experience relief from discomfort following their first chiropractic adjustment! Our techniques are gentle and adaptable, suitable for both children and athletes. We tailor each adjustment to your specific needs and comfort level, ensuring a positive and therapeutic experience. Chiropractic adjustments restore movement and function to the spine and surrounding tissues.

Step 5: insurance & payment options

Our office accepts a variety of insurance plans, including auto insurance and workers' compensation cases. We offer complimentary consultations and can assist you with insurance paperwork. For those without insurance coverage, we provide flexible payment plans to make care accessible. Contact us to discuss your specific insurance or payment needs.
