Inside Tom Holland and Zendaya's Secret Surrey Wedding Celebration at Beaverbrook Hotel

A Victorian mansion ensconced in the rolling hills of a 470-acre estate in Surrey, the Beaverbrook hotel has a bucolic setting that’s like something out of a Turner painting. And though the hubbub of central London is only a stone’s throw away—the train ride from Waterloo is a little over an hour—it feels a world apart from the big city.

Zendaya’s longtime stylist, image architect Law Roach, let slip in March this year that the pair had officially tied the knot, but rumors that they were set to celebrate with family and friends in the UK—after a summer of travelling the globe promoting not one but two blockbuster movies they co-star in, The Odyssey and Spiderman: Brand New Day—have been rumbling in recent days.

According to The Sun, Beaverbrook provided the setting for their party. The couple, who have been together for several years, are mostly based in the UK. While Zendaya was raised in Oakland, California, Tom was raised in Kingston-upon-Thames—less than an hour’s drive from the Surrey estate.

As the former residence of press baron Lord Beaverbrook, the English country house hotel—which recently provided the backdrop for Arsenal and England hero Declan Rice’s British Vogue shoot—has a pretty storied past. For the last decade, however, it’s been in the hands of hoteliers Ollie Vigors and Joel Cadbury, part of the family that founded the beloved British chocolate brand.

It’s now divided into the main house—with suites that contain nods to famous former guests—the Garden House, and the more contemporary Coach House, which houses the luxury spa. The pair tapped Van Eyssen, an alum of famed Asian hospitality brand Aman, to curate the spa’s program, which reflected her thoughtful and holistic approach to wellness.

While the hotel itself projects an old-world grandeur, the spa, a converted stable, has a more down-to-earth charm, making it a perfect spot for Mr and Mrs Holland to wind down after their staggeringly busy early summer.

Beaverbrook is home to four restaurants—the Japanese Grill is Vogue’s pick—a cinema, tennis courts, and 470 acres of grounds, with roses, daffodils, primroses and cherry blossom in abundance. There’s also a range of artisanal, locally sourced, and small-batch wellness brands available to browse at the spa’s shop, including the likes of Therapi, a sustainable skin-care brand that supports bee conservation—founder Tanya Hawks is an ethical beekeeper.
